The task
The university had outgrown its old mark: it did not scale, was hard to read and conveyed neither tradition nor modernity. It needed an emblem equally at home on the rector’s seal, on the façade and on social media.
The solution
The emblem is built from four elements: an open book as the foundation of knowledge, a tree growing from it, light, and an eight-pointed star that refers to Islamic heritage. Green and gold are the expected colours, but in restrained shades. A geometric pattern based on the star holds all the applications together.
